Reddit ‘Writer of the day’ announcement – 25 July
… Your chance to ask me anything on the Reddit Fantasy Forum…
Hey everybody! This Wednesday, I’m going to be having my first outing as ‘Writer of the day’ on Reddit. I’m really excited about it, as it’s a fantastic opportunity to get myself and more importantly, my writing, out in front of a potentially massive audience. And of course, I’d be honoured if you would join me.
The idea is simple. All you need is a Reddit account, which is free, or access to someone else’s if you don’t want to sign up yourself, a bit of free time at some point during the day and a couple of questions that you’d like to ask me. The best bit is that it doesn’t have to be limited to my writing. You can ask me anything you like, although don’t expect me to divulge my deepest and darkest secrets… that takes at least two pints of beer!
The event starts at 09:00 (Chicago time) on Weds 25 July and ends at 23:00 on the same day. Below is a list of equivalent times and days for those not in the USA:
- UK (London): 15:00 – 05:00
- Europe (Amsterdam): 16:00 – 06:00
- Asia (Bangkok): 21:00 – 11:00
- Australia (Sydney): 00:00 – 14:00 (Thurs 26)
- New Zealand (Auckland): 02:00 – 16:00 (Thurs 26)
If you need times for any other locations in the world, you can find them here. Just make sure that you enter ‘Chicago’ as one of the target cities, otherwise, you’ll get the time in UTC, which isn’t all that helpful in this case.
On the day itself, just click on the following link: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fantasy/ to get to the place on Reddit where I’ll be hosted and if for any reason, it doesn’t work, then you can also search for ‘Writer of the day’ in the main Reddit search box. Either way, once you’ve logged in, you should find me, confined within my little text box and typing away like a mad thing as I try to get through all of your questions in my allotted time.
I really hope that you can make it and please do spread the word to as many people as you can via your social media (and face-to-face) networks so that we make this event the success that it deserves to be.
Many thanks,
R.A. Gregory
